First Solar Tiles Installed In Central Coast

With the world embracing greener technology, solar panels have become a big hit. Australia, which is looking to become a hotspot for renewable energy, has been working hard to integrate solar panels wherever possible.

Now, thanks to that revolution, roof maintenance in Central Coast might just need to learn how to work on solar panels, as the solar roof panel craze has finally gotten one step into Central Coast, with the region’s first solar roofing installed in the area.

The tiles were installed at the home of Mirella Atherton, in Point Frederick, who says that she’s hoping to go off the grid, or at least cut down on those obscene electricity bills. Her home was the first in the Central Coast region to have solar panels installed on the roofing, amount to 15m2 of solar tiles.

Mrs. Atherton says that she was impressed by the tiles, which she thinks actually look nice. She adds that she’s proud of being the first to have such tiles in the region, which hasn’t picked up on the solar roofing trend, unlike Sydney, where residents are lining up to get solar roofing in order to cut down on electricity costs.

According to her, the roofing of the house, which clocked in at 60 years old, was leaking and needed to be retiled, during which they learned about roofing company Monier, who not only handled roof maintenance in Central Coast, but also acted as a supplier of solar tiles imported from Germany.

Currently, she says, they’re still testing things out, and they are capable of increasing their solar profile whenever they wish. She says that solar tiles cost 20x more than normal tiles, which can be a bit of a block when aiming to get them.

The installation of the tiles was handled by Sydney Re Roofing, with assistance from Ezy Scaffolding, over a time of two weeks, which Mrs. Atherton described as a massive job.

She says that the company even provided a display of the tiles’ capabilities, letting them know how effective they are  before the installation began. Mrs. Atherton says that they will come close to being off the grid, and, at the very least, it will trim down the power bill by quite a bit.

Earn From Wrapify For Displaying Ads Through Car Wrapping

A new startup company called Wrapify is willing to pay car owners if they allow their cars to be wrapped with advertisement. The company has received a seed funding worth $3 million. Basically, the company creates a two-way online marketplace wherein car owners can list their cars if they want to earn extra on the side and they will be matched with companies that are looking for a new way to advertise their brand. This current trend of car wrapping is also common as car signs in Brisbane either used by companies on their own fleet.

Drivers who are eligible for the campaign will present their car. Installation of the wrap and removal are both free. Drivers can earn an average of $450 every month for the entire campaign. The seed funding received by Wrapify came from Avery Dennison which is a global manufacturer that specializes in adhesive materials.

The good coincidence is that the manufacturer of the wrap used by Wrapify on the cars is Avery Dennison. Aside from the seed funding they have provided, the company has also given Wrapify exclusive use of their latest adhesive wrap using new technology that allows the wrap to be installed and removed faster which is suitable for Wrapify’s purpose of wrapping for only a short time. With the investment, they will be able to benefit from the wrap technology that will help the startup company to do their job more effectively.

The new investment will be utilized by Wrapify to increase the current sales of the company as well as fund its engineering teams. They are also planning to create more features to cater to its brand focused portal.

Brands will be able to see the total number of cars carrying their ads that are on the road at that moment. They can view the routes that the cars traverse every day and they can even get an estimate on the impressions created by the campaign. As of the moment, car signs in Brisbane are common but Wrapify is yet to come to the Australia. It is now used in 29 different cities in the United States and already 42,000 cars are listed on the platform.

Wanted: Perth Electrical Services With 457 Visa

A debate has been initiatedabout protectionism in West Australia’s workforce. It points out that a Perth business was forced to rectify a job ad calling only 457 visa-holders to apply.

It had an ad on Gumtree looking for a full-time electrician. It said that it was searching for applicants interested in Solar;must be willing to start ASAP; and that training can be provided. It had a requirementfor those having 457 Visa, a valid driving license, and valid Electrician License.” It simply means that it was searching for Perth electrical services from migrants.

A 457 visa is furnished by the national government and can run validity up to four years. It allows Australian businesses to hire migrants in diversified positions.

The 457 requirement stated in the ads might have prevented Australian residents to apply for the position and may perhaps be a so-called discrimination.

The search for Perth electrical services asindicated in the ad had the company face many recoiling from those who perceived the job as an opening for Australian residents.

The concerned business edited the content of the advert and said an error was madein the job description.

According to its spokesperson, the error was done by one of their staff and that management was totally unaware of such post. Once the ad was noticed, the company quickly deleted the advert in Gumtree.

Despite the correction, the business continued to draw disapproval for such error. The advert remains seen in other recruiting websites.

A large number of 457 visa employees were often terrified about vulnerable conditions due to the probable threat of being fired. Reportsfrom the Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union of Australia had confirmed this statement.

457 visa holders are meant to be paid the market rate. A business can face fines for breaching their business sponsorship obligation if not abided.

Premier Mark McGowan initiated the first step to address many of the concerns of WA unions.

He said that he would soon be assessing the state’s migration occupation list.

The Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List or WASMOL is presently under assessment. With the assessment under way, intending migrants will not be welcomed to apply for a WA state appointment,” the website says. Hence, migrants won’t be hired for any Perth electrical services in the meantime.
